Additionally, all portfolios are essentially reflective processes, so even these gallery exhibits are continuous works in progress, which means they are under constant revision. ePortfolios for Learning

Undergraduate Research ePortfolio ExampleA strong benefit of ePortfolios is their ability to incorporate reflection into the learning process, and use of ePortfolios can provide designated moments of reflection throughout a course or program. The following are just a few of the pedagogical benefits of ePortfolios for learning:

  • provide opportunities for students to perform self-assessment throughout the duration of a course or program
  • facilitate the presentation of student learning as it develops over time
  • help students make connections between their course and program assignments and their real-world applications
